Eight more TMT protesters arrested on Mauna Kea

"Oh Tommy boy, always with the condescending remarks. Always with the you're better than the rest of us BS eh?"

I was replying to gypsy69. Perhaps you'd like to provide us with some of gypsy's space pearls? You know, something that actually makes sense. Somehow I suspect you're going to have a tough time doing that, but please try. A post from gypsy69 that isn't complete BS would be remarkable, so post it.

There are schools that teach entirely in Hawaiian if you so desire.

I personally don't want my children to learn Hawaiian in public school. It's a dead language mostly used by those who romanticize about a past that never really existed or racists.

Though seriously that'd be way too much to ask eh? I am sure most would rather just be lulled into thinking as long as Walmart got 'em, and got 'em cheap alls to the good.

Keep in mind, while you all bitch about the Hawaiians complaining about development, about loss of land, and poor management practices of government agencies, the world is going south quick. In other words there's plenty of evidence that the ways you all so strongly support are predicated on systems that don't work. That are in their essence broken. There is very little in your mass commercialization that does work.

I wasn't going to feed the trolls.

However, I now feel it's very important to let the Dakine's and Gypsy's take center stage so the world can know the Hawaiian kingdom that those of us who grew up here truly know.

So speak up Dakine, tell those white haole's where to go! Speak up!

Protectors! Continue to protest the illegal annexation of the Hawaiian Kingdom by continuing your illegal acts! That will show the world! Continue protecting the mountain by moving rocks in the road and sitting in your chairs doing nothing to help protect the mountain.

Man I wish I had your ability to daydream. You seriously envision a world of industrial wasteland where only Hawai'i remains green and lush? About how long do you think you could enjoy this magical oasis before someone with an army comes and turns you into the next Menehunes?

Without Uncle Sam you are up **** creek without a paddle. Better learn to go along to get along my friend. You want native this or native that? Figure out how to build it within the existing framework or you might as well be pissing into the wind.

The bad news for all fair minded people on this subject is that the DLNR process was most likely legally flawed and when brought before the justices they had prior caselaw and precedent that they will most likely rely on. A brief perspective from the article;

The Hawaii Supreme Court has three options to adjudicate this appeal; invalidate the TMT's CDUP, uphold the TMT's permit, or remand it back to the BLNR for further consideration.

I hope the court doesn't do the latter. The community is already divided about this project. If it has to go through another BLNR vote, and ultimately another contested case hearing, that isn't fair to community. I've lost several friends because I support this project, so I hate to imagine what the repercussions will be if this issue drags on and on.

The anti-telescope opponents will most likely appeal an unfavorable revised decision by the BLNR, or the contested case hearing officer. In short, it will come down to who'll blink first. I don't think the TMT has the staying power if they get a unfavorable ruling from the court.

Here's the definition of desecration.

Building something is not desecration.
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

"Building something is not desecration."

Hmm, in any situation, really?

But then I'm not a big fan of the word in most any case, it usually being linked to some form of zealotry.

I would just like to point out that he did say HIS KINGDOM.

I would just like to point out that it is NOT your kingdom.

"It's way fun really."
Troll alert.

You write racist statements, you get called a racist. No surprises.

By the way, if it so happens that you're being racist on behalf of some other group then guess what.... you're still a stupid racist.

Someday he will call the wrong person a Haole. Someday someone will challenge the hate within those and the "ole boy network" that tells them " it will be expensive to prosecute". This world is just too small for this to go on. Or, they may get this instead.
