I don't know, I went to bed! Tonight should be the peak. The sky is clear here but right now it's quite hazy where I am and few stars are visible. Light southerly winds, so it's probably vog. Hopefully things will improve during the night.

If I am not adequately alleviated by protective devices ( deet on face ) as deemed to impose a physical hardships does this count as hazard pay ?

You'll need to write a 100-page proposal to the NSF for hazard-pay funding, which, if approved, will allow you to claim the grant in the next financial year. They will expect references and a full bibliographic record. Whether including posts on PW will help, well, I suspect that might not help, but feel free to test the system! []
