It's the HPM ILIMA model. I best liked the Trojan PLANTATION III G base model that I highly modified, but it was a nightmare dealing with Trojan and their "few thousand dollars" modification cost turned out to be $20K!

OOPs Aloha John,
Just out of curiousity which package did you have built from HPM. I'm also figuring someone out is selling a lost leader to get a high market share. I wonder if it is HPM they seem to be one of if not the largest outlet on The Island..

Thanks HADave

AH HA! I was hoping to hear that there was such a model generating excitement. Thankyou John R. I have taken the liberty to request further info from HPM on the Ilima Model. Hopefully they respond favorably to my trickle of nickles and don't scare me with too high a number...

Thanks again HADave

Have you tried Argus on Makaala? There is a book of plans you can go through.

Kapohocat I've been advised of their excellent reputation I have not seen their "book" of plans is it available on line, We are not on The Island yet.

Currently awaiting news from HPM on the Ilima model suggested by JR, which I must say we are now seriously hoping for a good price. With all the Hard Rain an attached carport might just be the ticket for the little woman Smile))

The latest brochure I have from HPM is from 12/01/05 - the Ilima package home is priced at $43,300 for slab, $51,600 for Post & Pier. Of course at the bottom it says "Prices listed are estimates only and are subject to change. Tax not included"

Thanks Emily is that brochure something that can be copied and emailed? HPM seems to be quite busy and I probably won't recieve anything from them for quite a while.

Does anyone have any experience or is familiar with the Topsider homes? Any pros or cons?

HPM: Call Brigitte Spry at 808-334-4241 (or e-mail her at brigitte@hawaiiplanningmill.com) and I am sure she will help you. She has been very responsive to me. I paid $54,000 for the P&P Ilima last November. Factor in another $1,000 for various extra charges, like cess pool, engineering, etc.
Topsider: I am very familiar with it, I even vivited their factory several years ago. They products are really nice but not very cost effective because of the shipping. I have been dealing with Charlie Foures is the VP of Sales, you can reach him at 336-766-9300 ext. 241.

Aloha John Rabi, Thankyou for the info a message is enroute to Brigitte. You wouldn't happen to have a photo of your finished Ilima by chance would you?
The plantation style from Trojan you spoke of, our HA neighbor has that particular home on their lot corner of 8 & D roads. we like the floorplan but not the dutch hip roof, although I understand the reasoning for it. More area to catch water.

Thanks Again Very Much, HADave
