Terrifying new mandatory vaccine bills have been introduced. These have been fast-tracked without many of the public even knowing and could become law by July 2016.

as a retired healthcare professional, i find this very sad, very terrifying also. Not only for these bills, but for the way our government is taking more and more control of our lives. especially the HPV vaccine and all the problems the news has been reporting. but really, any time the government starts mandating healthcare amid all the other freedoms we have lost. so much science fiction coming to roost, it is indeed a brave new world..

Maybe a new world where tolerance is waning for self-absorbed ninnies to put their children, and all the rest of us, at risk.

Children who have compromised immune systems, such as cancer patients, cannot receive vaccines to protect them from diseases like measles that could kill them, they rely on the "herd immunity" of all the healthy children around them who do receive the vaccines to reduce the risk to vulnerable children by reducing cases to virtually zero. These children have no "choice" in this matter, even chicken pox or measles could kill them and they cannot be immunized while undergoing chemo or other life saving treatments.

Seems like misplaced terror to me. The affects and casualties of the diseases are more terrifying than the vaccines. How easily people forget. That is one of the values of vaccination... they allow people to forget.

I suggest sending in written support of all these bills. There is an exemption for the school system vaccinations for home schooled and privately schooled children. If a family wants their children in public school then practical health measures should be mandatory. Requiring health care workers to be vaccinated for the flu is hardly terrifying. To not do so is stupidity.
