In the past, I've seen good recommendations for Peter Kubota. I've tried calling his number listed on his webpage, but it doesn't seem to be a good number. He's not listed in the phone book either, so does anyone have a good number for him, or can anyone recommend a good lawyer to set up a family trust? Thanks for your help.

Ralph Black did mine. Depends on how soon you need it. Our state rep, Joy San Buenaventura is a good family attorney but the Legislature is currently in session. How about Ivan Van Leer?

Ivan doesn't/didn't do trusts but instead refers that to Paul Booth in Hilo. Paul is awesome methinks.

I'm pretty sure Michael Garbarino who lives in Puna, passed the bar last year to practice in Hawaii. He's from the attorney general's office in Texas and a wonderful contribution to the Big Island. Super high integrity. Trusts and Estate Planning.

Joy San Buenaventura did ours. Very good experience, very reasonable cost.
