How to use a roundabout

In Europe a lot of roundabouts have a statue or monument. Could we at least get a soap box for the current ranter?

Not Puna related, but for many years this monument was in the middle of what's colloquially known as the Heathrow roundabout (London):

Always enjoyed seeing it for, what, about 15 years? Unfortunately, it's no longer there, it was replaced by new sponsors a few years ago.

Don't remember that one when I was there. Kind of remember a soap box one could stand on and spew unhealthy comments towards the Queen without penalty on the palace square? That's what got me to the idea for center of the roundabout.
Who would want to stop in the circle with someone ranting on outside your window?

I think you mean Speakers Corner in Hyde Park and on the contrary (correct me if I'm wrong, Tom) the Queen is the one person you can't insult there. But anyway.

I remember that Concorde, it was still there long after the real thing stopped flying. Too bad it's gone.

I've seen some weird stuff in roundabouts, some countries do it on purpose so they can be used for directions ("take the first exit at the Flying Horse roundabout"). Maybe they should put a working volcano in the Puna one, erupting every half hour.
