Funny how folks will find racial connotations where none exist. There are many solutions to intersection problems.....Stopsigns, stoplights, roundabouts, fist fights, etc etc. No matter what solution you choose, in 20 years, you will wish you had built an overpass. This scenario has already played itself out in countless communities long before Puna. So why spend money now, only to spend more money later on the REAL solution. Welcome to Big Island. The roundabout is working well. It's gracious, flowing and beautifully designed to soften the confrontational feeling of stop then go. Guess the legion of Puna Paranoiacs will have to find something else to whine about.
