How to use a roundabout
#81
The flaw is a single lane roundabout.

Two lanes are planned -- should only take another 5-10 years.

There is also a way to straighten the roundabout.

Of course with the low horsepower, high mileage, and bad suspension on Puna vehicles, they won't jump over, they'll crawl their way into the center of the roundabout, just far enough to wind up as a decorative, tilting, centerpiece.

But at least they'll be off the roadway, so I'd give them more credit for effort than some drivers.

Any accident that happens inside the roundabout will be a low speed collision which can easily be moved to the side. Maybe it should be mandatory that people move any vehicles in such a collision, to the side, as many localities require?

'almost had' a crash, so, not, actually?
Ever stop to think the roundabout design should get some credit?

Are you saying a collision from a non-yielding driver entering the round is impossible?

It's on it's way, but progress moves slow here. We just got the law requiring people to pull over for emergency vehicles just last year!

Agreed. Absolutely no rational excuse for not making this a 2 laner.

Let people get used to the simplest form of a roundabout first. Two lanes requires a little more thought.

I sure don't miss sitting at lights.

Are you a hippy from the 70s, PT? It would explain an awful lot.

TomK ..If the hippies were taken seriously in the 60's - 70's we wouldn't be
In the irreversible mess we're in today... IMO
