Squatter thieves in Hawaiian Acres
#41
Update. This situation continues and I do not feel safe posting any details online anymore. Please contact me directly for any updates or if you feel you are a victim of this thief as well. I will update this post if the situation changes. It has gotten way out of hand and I am paying rent to live somewhere safe because the thief keeps coming back to my home. This is not ok. If anyone has hawaii real estate lawyer recommendations please send them my way!

Actually the problem, providing how you view it, is the balance on the scale of Justice, 'Innocent until proven guilty'. That, only in the state of Hawaii verses the mainland's actions, and I don't quite understand it, in its entirety. but, unlike the mainland where these creeps would have been jailed on 1st complaint, and or an arrest warrant issued, captured and jailed, held for trial or bail. . Hawaii Justice system actually proceeds as I understood this as a kid, or until I'd been abused by police, 'innocent until proven guilty' IL wittingly thinking that, unless a court of law showed proved evidence, and fairly judged or judged by my peers, arresting somebody would be punishing them prior to trial. 'prior too proven guilty' or sufficient evidence gathered to warrant retention.

It's weird if you are used to how the mainland operates, and are used to the order of persecution there. That is, there You are persecuted first, verses prosecuted.

For some odd reasons, Hawaii actual proceeds as I personally believe the mainland should, 'Innocent until proven guilty'..

However, yet, it is these types of fallacies that lends an understanding too, perhaps how, and why that ideology fails. go figure?

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that our Community Service Officer is on vacation?

Another vacant house burned down. There was one a couple weeks ago in Kalapana, this one in Nanawale. The next trend for Puna?

Let's just go down there and get her stuff back. Apparently law enforcement won't do anything about it. Who's in?

Can't say except I experienced something similar, terrorized by a few low lifes at my property in Puna and that's somewhat, after attempting to get legal, attorneys and any availed support, what was explained to me..

It wasn't as bad as poor Lilikio is going through but, I also reframed from being on my property too, to avoid further contact, conflict, nearly every time. it cost me bundles for having to do that. 1,000's and 1,000's plus, plus, not to leave out the hardship and I must say, incredible hardship I could have never expected.

Eventually, like a friggen year later, the DA got them fined and the judge reprimanded em. Big deal! ;(.

I filed, in total, 8 valid complaints yet, only 1 was applied. Sad

Whereas, had it been on the mainland, Jail and bail would be their route.
