The sky is full of lightning bolts all around in hpp. Definitely beats the 4 of July fireworks celebration!

Lots of thunder and lightning in Eden Roc. 2.8" so far today and about .5" of that was in the last 15 minutes.

The lightning and thunder is so close! (Trying to find the batteries, candles, and fill up the kukui hale po (night light; old kine kerosene lamp...).

We're not getting pounding rain, more steady rain (Volcano apparently had hail today! Another [:0]) with the lightning lighting up the entire sky! Frankly, quite frightening at times; too close for comfort!

We have the lava flowing into the ocean, minuscule earthquakes, storms coming and going, and we live in "paradise". I hope to awake to snow on the top of Mauna Kea. [Smile]

There are some great pictures and videos being posted all around, but my dog is in my lap, shivering...again, poor thing. [xx(]

Stay safe all.

JMO.

P.S. This is a tape made for keiki, but my dogs (sorry, dog; not used to the big guy being gone yet...) love it. Soothing calming music during the storm. What I enjoy is the old songs of Hawai'i that are played...FWIW.

It was right overhead in Mt. View about 7-8pm. One blast was so close, I'm not convinced it didn't hit my house.

My cats have been hiding at the back of the pantry.

Hasn't rained in a while. Gentle thunder in the distance. Up to 4.2" for the day.

ETA: I think I heard those blasts Lee but they sounded like they were over MY house.

Fortunately I live in a Faraday cage of sorts.
