Rapist picks up two schoolchildren in the rain

Maybe the kids' parents will find him before he gets back to court and impart a little "justice" of their own.

If he is truly free and out on bail then he may be back with his long time group at the sure foundation. He likes spar boxing with the "kids" at the church. jmo

Seriously, who is this judge? Let's start a media campaign to get him removed and publicly shamed!

@ randomq: The truly sad thing is that this could have been just about any of the Big Island judges. They ALL have a history of low bonds and lenient sentences for some pretty bad criminals.

Agreed. Be aware!

Beware:
Pat the scumbag lives in Ainaloa, not sure of the exact street, I also heard that it was his dad who bailed him out.

I do have a question, where does the police report use the word "Rape"? Or is sexual assault considered rape? I'm just asking because I'm trying to understand the low 35k bail amount....

I do have a daughter who catches the bus in Ainaloa.

everyone here is assuming he raped the kid.... he could have just fondled, touched, ie pulled off a Stanford Swimmer type 'pseudorape' w/fingers, etc. ... use common sense here... if he actually raped the kid with ***** in vagina forcibly his bail would be ten X higher in reality.... use some common sense please... this IS still the USA ...
Puna is well known for bias fear mongering... anti cop anti court anti gov bs.. this is a perfect example of not use your brains at all...

bail will be correct, the sexual assault to the kid will be a minor one, not a real 'rape'....

ie. this double rape 11 months ago in Hilo we all remember... what was the bail?
"...Judge Harry Freitas ordered Kita, who is in custody at Hawaii Community Correctional Center, to appear at 2 p.m. today for a preliminary hearing, and maintained his bail at $891,000...."

This CNN video explains the recent rape of a minor by one of our DLNR officers. This guys bail was $13,000 and he probably should not have been allowed paid leave from the DLNR for this. jmo

bananahead, you should apply to be a judge. I'm sure the kids parents would appreciate the difference between 'real rape' and 'psuedorape w/ fingers'. What the f*** dude.
