Well, this is a rather astounding conclusion to our fundraiser.

I want to mahalo Rick for his donation concurrent with Tom Kerr. Tom made his second donation and, with Rick, brought us over the line. Then Obie comes in a puts a big bow on it. Obie's generosity is so substantial it is hard to adequately respond. Words are not adequate but I'll try....

All of the donors here have an empathy and spirit of community which is a complement to humanity. Some very stressed people are going to get some relief and from my heart I want to say I am proud of you all. Obie's act of matching funds is high philanthropy and for a small rural community as impoverished as it is, the impact is real. Mahalo to Obie. Those who help will not know your real name and that fact, to help in such a large way without recognition, shows a strength of character that we all appreciate.

I will call this fundraiser complete this evening and will be transferring funds to Sal on Monday/Tuesday - however long it takes Paypal to move the money.
