Checked it out. Add $130 for shipping and it's up to $410. I can get the Discovery and pump from Amazon for $360. Make that $350. They gave me a discount for some reason.

That's because Crosman won't ship complete airguns through the USPS. FedEx and UPS are way more $$. They will, however, ship you parts through the USPS. And, yes, I too have got some fine deals buying Crosman airguns from Amazon. That's only if Amazon stocks them AND ships them. Every now and then Amazon will sweeten the pot some and offer an additional 10-205 OFF. got a new 1377, 1322, and a Model 66 at different times, for $39.99 each with free shipping. But, if Amazon sells them through, say, Pyramid Air, they either won't ship to Hawaii, OR, they will stick on a shipping fee.

"Add $130 for shipping..."
Just their shipping alone is more than what I paid for their Venom model with free shipping via amazon.

That's just wrong. I think I'm going to dig out my 45 year old 300s tomorrow and spend some time with her. Don't need anything new with shipping charges like that, at least parts are cheaper to ship.

The S. Tokunaga store has the best selection of air guns available for purchase I have seen offline. I didn't spend a lot of time looking at them but did see that they had .22s and PCP rifles as well as break barrels and others. I asked the guy behind the gun counter a few questions about nitro pistons and loss of power and he printed out a diagram for my Crosman if it was disassembled and showed me the areas I should be oiling and where seals can fail and how to replace them.
I had never been in the shop before because I thought it was just fishing and diving gear but it is a full sporting goods store with a large gun/ammo/hunting section. Also the employees were helpful and knowledgeable, and the store was clean, well stocked, well organized, and brightly lit. The things I did price, the prices were good. ETA: content

They do have quite a few airguns. I wish they carried a larger selection of pellets. Premium pellets are H&N, JSB. If you can get your airgun to shoot well with Crosman or Daisy pellets, you are pretty lucky. RWS makes some decent pellets also. Del's carries Daisy pellets and airguns, and a couple of Winchester pellets that shoot pretty well in some of my airguns.

I'm a fool to keep trying with the NPXL1100. I bought a brake hone and honed the section of the chamber where the seal travels. While doing so I looked in and saw a mark at the end near the hole where the air goes out to the barrel. Looking at the end of the piston I saw marks corresponding to this nick and the hole. I finally recognized that the mark at the end of the chamber is a #1 stamped into the plug that was welded in to form the end of the chamber. So, the piston has been regularly hitting the end of the chamber with enough force to print the outline of the transfer port and that #1 mark into the metal of the piston.
This was my second go around trying to dress up the chamber walls and chase leaks. I must have left too much oil on the chamber walls because it is smoking and I am getting velocities all over the place but it is gradually settling down to about 845 FPS. I had hoped that there was more "leak" to be fixed since I am assuming that the piston is still hitting the end of the chamber. That being the case and finding a fix for it is the only thing I can really hope for as a solution to the problem of scopes failing all the time. The last thing I can try is heavier pellets. They may slow the piston down enough so that it doesn't slam. I have some 21 grain and some 25 grain pellets on order. ETA: Ordered some 18 grain pellets too.

Don't know if they're any good but here's a link to a Midway air gun sale: http://www.midwayusa.com/s?promotionid=1114176&cm_mmc=pe_weekly-_-hotbuy-_-crosman_closeouts-_-20170328
