it must be awesome to live in a MILLION dollar home! it must be huge, and beautiful,

Sometimes the property is worth millions, but the house is a shack... Views can be expensive. Welcome to Puna.

You hit the nail on the head Tom.
I'm not sure how I could have lead to the decline of HPP when I don't live there.
Meanwhile over on the Craig Crelly post the head whiner is posting more comments and assumptions that probably aren't true and certainly aren't helpful to your overall cause.

Kapoho is also the first place to be impacted by storms. A million dollar house ain't worth squat, if you don't have a good insurance policy.

So long as we don't unite against County, we are all contributing to the decline of Puna, and all the "private, agricultural" subdivisions therein.

A good insurance policy, priceless. (And pricey.)

Why should I unite against the county.I bought in a residential subdivision. In 2005 we repaved all of our roads and we put in a water system that is hooked up to county water.
Those of us who live here paid a premium for our properties.
You get what you pay for and you got a dirt road.

How silly of me to expect ANY services in return for the taxes paid!
Thanks for clearing that up!

I suspect most of my neighbors pay a lot more taxes than you and they don't get any more county services than you do.
We all share that nice modern highway to Hilo !

Hilo properties all had dirt roads once.
Their property taxes got their roads paved.
Didn't take 60 years either.
Assume the best and ask questions.
