Just don't aim the light towards the property line, or else the villagers will grab their torches and pitchforks.

Clever, and in a world without alternatives, possibly very useful. I can think of alternatives though. I see corrugated roof iron in the pictures. One household that I spend time in has corrugated roof iron with matching corrugated translucent roofing. granted the bottles are free but somehow they afforded the roof iron and cutting a hole in the roof to plug it with a flimsy plastic bottle? You would have to pay me to do that.
ETA: I hate electric lights made to look like an old fashioned lantern with the light going in all directions. A light employing an actual flame has to do that. An electric light does not and that is one of the major advantages of an electric light. |
