Otherwise those not employed or engaged in the community somehow will come and rip off those whose are better than themselves.
Or the unemployed can apply for a job guarding and protecting the property of the employed. Because as humans, they can kill intruders for their boss. Robots most likely will have a safety measure preprogrammed to prevent them from harming humans. At least until the A.I. Wars begin.
The Donner Party really wasn't that great of a party, was it?

The various big grocery stores here are all union (except Malama) and those people make well over minimum wage. With the exception of the butcher, I do not think any of those jobs are highly skilled. Walmart and Target locally, all pay well over minimum wage as do the various chain burger joints. Again, these are not highly skilled jobs and no one should be trying to make a career or raise a family on this type of job.
It is very bizarre that some people think that a living wage should be paid for what should be entry level jobs, which used to be the exclusive entry point of high school kids looking to make a few bucks in their first foray into the job market. I cringe when I see interviews with 5+ year burger flippers, complaining that they don't make more money.

Okdnen, I believe you will be out foxed by the AI. The unemployed will be sharpening their knives in vain. Robots will be laughing.
Next you will be the unemployed.

I saw Blade Runner and Tyrell Corp's replicants, back when it came out in the theater.
I've watched the Cylons attempt to hunt down what was left of the human race on Battlestar Galactica.
I'm on to their tricks.
Oh yeah. And that manipulative android in Ex Machina.
She's not fooling me. I won't fall for it.

Society has a lot of people that can barely handle harvesting crops or working on a factory line. Globalization and automation have eliminated those simple jobs. The people remain, and still need to feed their families...
What does the future look like for those folks? Or do we socially or genetically engineer them away?

"Well as you mentioned a term from a little country off of Europe which is not near Puna,I kinda assume that you would think of Elon Musk as a Luddite for his concern about AI?"
The term is part of the English language which both you and I use, as well as other people in Puna. As for Musk, you do realize I can quote a number of other people as qualified as he is that have the opposite opinion?
And no, I wouldn't think of Musk as a Luddite, as it's very obvious he isn't one.

Firstly, could you please try and sort out your quoting problems, and secondly, what on earth does that video have to do with anything being discussed here?

We should all be in agreement on this, and also that Musk is not a Luddite.[:p]
Ah, to be rich in Puna, courtesy of a state job with all of those great government bennies scavenged off the backs of struggling private sector workers such as the Walton brothers.
You mentioned that these folks are a little less overt about their wealth these days when travelling to poor neighborhoods. A couple questions come to mind:
First, how do they accomplish this (park the Land Cruiser and take the Corolla?), and second, which are the poor neighborhoods[?] I thought they all were.
