those crazy dispensaries again!

http://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/news...-pot-sales

All of Hawaii's eight licensed dispensaries have agreed to go cashless by Oct. 1 ... dispensaries will ask patients to use a debit payment app to buy their pot instead of cash. The debit app called CanPay uses a Colorado-based credit union ...

Confused. How is this not "banking" and/or "interstate commerce"?

The timing is even more suspicious -- when has State ever moved so fast?

Not to mention that it's irrelevant on the Big Island, where no dispensaries have actually opened...

I guess all of those "patients" have a smartphone?

State already requires real-time tracking of all production and sales, including the ability to put a "stopper" on patient purchases in excess of specific quotas.

Yet more reasons why the black market will continue to thrive.

Dispensaries? What? Who? Why? People other than tourists pay for herb here? The state is kidding themselves. I can't have a conversation with any of my neighbors without being handed a sack. Just sayin.......

Ask Rep. Joy Sanbuenaventura about the legal issues, kalakoa. She was too busy working on that part of the medical marijuana enabling legislation to know that we had a dengue fever problem in Puna.

Ask Rep. Joy Sanbuenaventura about...

No reason nor point, she's obviously sold out.

People other than tourists pay for herb here?

The dispensary program is obviously intended to serve tourists.
