Door to door salesman
#31
That's enough to make it even weirder.
---------
PaulW id being facetious. He is so liberal, he is afraid an accurate description might be considered racist.

That's funny. I remember when I first came on Punatalk about 10 months ago you--I think it was you--wrote a post "The bums are back in Pahoa."

A bunch of readers got all upset at the references to the vagrants. I wrote about "roaming bums" the other day. I was waiting to get flack.

The hard-of-understanding don't seem to get it. It doesn't matter what the travelling salesmen looked like this week.
Next week it'll be someone else.

The author doesn't seem to understand that any tidbit about a salesman can be considered useful information by neighbors. It doesn't matter of the weekly change. I'll take tips about the next one too and then the following one after that so that it can help differentiate between legit salespeople and thieves. Or not if you want to hoard the info and be weird about it. It was obvious to me that the comment about the frog smoothie and the encyclopedias was facetious. The weirdness is the refusal to elaborate.

facetious: one of the only English words to contain all the vowels and spelled in alphabetical order

I'm not talking about thieves, I'm talking about salesmen.

I told my young nephew I played football in school. His response: "What was the score?"

Hard of understanding doesn’t scratch the surface here and yet ironically....... lol

Such a simple question about giving a simple description Paul. People like you are worthless for neighbors. In fact I doubt this occurrence even happened to you after reading your responses. Sounds like you heard this story from someone else and made it yours.

It would be so sad to hear your house got broken into with witnesses who saw it all go down.

“Well officer, all I saw is someone walking around trying to sell stuff aggressively.” “ But he might change clothes and get a tattoo so I won’t provide anymore details cause it would just waste time.”

Hard of understanding at its finest.

Description of what? A travelling salesman? Pointless. A thief? Yes, that would be useful.
But for the umpteenth time, I’m warning about salesmen, not thieves.

Whatever, have fun with your brand new set of encyclopedias. You need them.

What we have here is a failure to comprehend. Have a good life, guys.

Yeah the failure to comprehend is your own.

Let's repaint this, adding words that were inferred.

AUTHOR: I have pushy, unwanted salespeople coming to my door. They change weekly and may be in your neighborhood next.

Reply: Ooh really? I don't want them around here either. We have had a rash of thefts in our neighborhood, maybe you could be a bit more descriptive of this weeks salespeople? I see new people around my neighborhood lately and any description will help me and my neighbors determine who is who and give us a one-up.

Author: I don't want to give any more descriptions about the salespeople. I just want to complain about them coming to my house and they may be at your door next.

Reply ooh really? Descriptions would really help us in our cause (anti-theft), which is indirectly related to your topic (unwanted salespeople).

Author: Nah, I see no relation to the topics, I just prefer to complain about the issue and how it affects me. Cheers!
