This is why I fly Hawaiian Air

I don't have kids and hate when they scream and cry on a plane, but those things happen and you have to deal with like a decent person. KUDOS to Hawaiian Air for having such wonderful and kind people.

They might not have the direct flights I need, but I have always been treated like gold and that's why I choose a lay over with Hawaiian vs United.

You’d think the parent would be doing the “soothing”, but yes, their customer service the best.

I absolutely agree with you bout the parents, but that's just how it is sometimes. The big difference here is how Hawaiian seperated themselves from airlines such as United. This flight attendant stepped up to the plate acted like a human being which seems to be forgotten with some of the other airlines.

Ive flown them all, and never had a flight attendant recognize me and greet me by my name like Brad did a couple of flights ago.

Another time I left my driver license on the plane by mistake while fumbling through my wallet on the last inbound United flight just before ITO closes. I ran back in a panic thinking I wouldn't be able to rent a car. Was United around? Nope. Who? Hawaiian Airlines employee who took the time to radio to the flight crew on United plane and then another Hawaiian Airlines employee came running up with my license! I never saw a United employee there.

Yeah, I fly Hawaiian now.

We always fly Hawaiian too. They’re the only Airline and Crew that makes us feel at home, no matter where we’re going.

Hawaiian is tops in face to face customer service, but I just wish they had a bigger mainland network and some more seamless partner connections (or better yet, their own service) to Europe. Yes, you can change carriers at LAX, JFK, or any number of places, but this often involves buying a separate ticket and/or schedules that don't mesh well. I tried minutes ago to buy a ticket to Dallas on Hawaiian's website, and it was no go. Same thing for LHR. If my destination is the West or NYC, they are my first choice, but there are serious limits to where they can easily get you.

In the plane, they're pretty good. In the airport, not so much. Probably more the company's fault for making the employees overstretched, but still.

Hawaiian's customer service has been a mixed bag for me.
Overall, I'd give them a positive rating above United and below Alaska. Haven't flown Southwest but my mom likes them, so I hope the can eventually offer some competition in the inter island market.

Hawaiian flights attendant are excellent but there ticket people are really bad I have flown Hawaiian to the mainland 4 times and nothing but trouble with the ticket agents if I can help I will not fly them again. I have flown United and Alaska nothing like airline ticket agents from Hawaiian.

Sorry, I'll take United's red eye to LAX anytime.

The 10 PM departure allows a full day to do things before the flight. The 5 AM arrival gives me a brand new day and allows me to beat most of the traffic on the freeways.

I hunker down in the last row window seat (37A) with my sweatshirt, wool cap over my eyes and ear plugs. The flight attendants do exactly what I want them to do: leave me alone. And in less than 5 hours, I'm in California.

No flight to HNL that entails at least a 2 hour layover and a change of planes. With Hawaiian, its around 8 hours to LAX. No thanks!
