OK now USGS say the one at 12:32 was a 6.9! Centered about 5 miles west of Kalapana.

question for those that know something about quakes.. what does it mean when a quakes depth is a minus number? I see we had a 4.5 that was -0.1 Does that make it a harsher shake? More dangerous?

Royall - just means one tenth of a mile or lesser to the surface . so -0.1 is most likely a hundred feet or less from surface.
