absentee ballots?
#1

Has anyone received theirs yet for the upcoming election? We have not got ours yet. Should we be concerned?

Hmmm.. weird. My husband and I have gotten the postcard that says we're registered, but we haven't received any primary ballots yet. We're in HPP, so it's not like it's a lava issue with mail delivery.

I’m in HPP too, and haven’t received mine yet either.

Yeah, we are in HPP also, and I picked up our mail today. We also got a card that said to get our absentee ballots, just do nothing. I did that.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago but my wife never got hers. I called and was told hers was scheduled to be mailed on the 17th so obviously they’re not done yet.

County only mailed ballots early to those in District 4, Precincts 3 and 4 - not to Precinct 1 which is HPP and Precinct 2 which is Hawaiian Beaches. They wanted to ONLY allow voting by mail for those precincts which are the areas affected by lava. Thanks to intervention by our council representative Ohara, the office of elections revised its plan to limit voting to mail-in only and will now open a polling place (Pahoa Com. Ctr) for precincts 3 and 4. Precincts 1 and 2 will be mailed ballots on July 17. There will be early walk-in voting in Pahoa the two weeks before the Primary Aug. 11th.

Unfortunately this won't change the outcome.
