MaunaLoa Mac Nut - now Hawaiian Host is all Ship-Man land .Leased .Ag related as allowed by USDA rules.2K an acre paid to Ship-Man for the next 40+ years.Several 5 acre to 20 acre privately leased parcels for papaya and mac nut goes to Ship-Man.Considered pasture by the county.

Last time I looked at Shipman LTD's taxes, several years ago, they were paying $6,000/yr on 12,000 acres. I lightly mentioned this to Bill Walter (CEO of Shipman). Shortly after that a person could no longer easily look up someone taxes by name. The data went dark.

$2,000/acre/month for not planting sugar cane sounds incredible. Can you give me the source for that information, I would like to verify it before I pass it on.
As to owning land around Mauna Loa Macadamia, checked several parcels - 160010350000 - for instance and they are owned by Royal Hawaiian Orchards. Checked on that and that is not a Shipman company.
