They all do this.
Not true.
There are still news organizations which focus on true reporting, without opinion, such as Reuters and the Associated Press.
For anyone interested, here's a chart showing the distribution of news organizations, their bias, and amount of fact based reporting contained in their stories:

If you'd like to lock up this thread Rob, it's fine with me.
I mainly wanted to point out that one of our Hawaii Senators had been unfairly maligned in the media across numerous platforms, and I think that's been accomplished. Not always understood, subject to interpretation, but that's another matter.

Which might almost be ok, if it was for the right reasons.

Yes.
Or was initiated by one of us.
Taking our own government officials to task is a thankless, mostly unrewarding job, but somebody's gotta do it. (Somebody who's not bankrolled by special interest groups)

Don't mistake the lack of editorial comment as "true reporting". You didn't watch any of the national news coverage when the new eruptions started? If they can't report simple facts on a natural disaster accurately, imagine what they do to the "facts" when there are corporations, billions of dollars, and political agendas at play.

If a news organization reports a story somewhat inaccurately, does it then follow that everything they report is wrong? Is it possible that in addition to black and white, there are also light shades of grey, and dark shades of grey?

FoxNews slants? Gosh, I’m surprised. MSNBC news slants back.
Barely Hawaii, much less Puna.
But bottomfishing, yes.
Cheers,
Kirt
Oh wow, Rob, are u and everyone gonna condem Kneift with equal fervor as you have done to others for calling out stuff that is not Puna related?
