Family in HA
#61
an Eleventh Commandment didn't get chiselled in stone... about the abuse of animals and children and those weaker than ourselves.

They did add an Amendment to the Commanment a little later on:
The Meek Shall Inherit The Earth

... but like the other Commanments it was obeyed for an hour on Sunday (Christian), Saturday (Jewish), or Friday (Islam), if that, or else various political entities amended the Amendment, with Hawaii County Building Codes, CCR’s, and Hawaii County Real Property Tax.

There’s even political parties right here in Hawaii that are dedicated to helping make the meek even meeker, for their own good, way out there in the jungle.

At a White House meeting in June, President Trump reportedly told Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe that “I remember Pearl Harbor.”

@Kalakoa----I believe that translates to: No enforcement of the rules if you qualify on any of the following. A local, have dogs, a shotgun, or "pocket" money...

Glad the dog survived. May s/he bark and salivate forevermore.

Even, and especially, if the OP correctly titled the thread “Dog in HA” it has gone about as far of the mark as many others.

I suggest someone start a new thread called “scumbag brother fighting mother haters who live like bottom feeding bloodsuckers” or “live free and die hard: whose business is it if I live under a tarp?”, or something in between.

And then a new thread, which I am very surprised has never happened: “What to do about tweak houses on my block?”

But here I am off topic by a slingshot myself. (Self-contempt, kicking in...)

“What to do about tweak houses on my block?”

It is no business of ours what laws they decide don't apply to them. Apparently.
I would like to invite all tweakers to move to HA where they can live in blessed harmony and communal ownership of goods with the other free spirits.

I think we can all agree tweakers and trash people make ****ty neighbors. The disconnect may be that not all tent and shack dwellers are tweakers or trash people. Being poor and not wanting to live in Section 8 shouldn't make you a criminal.

I didn't mean to imply that at all. Looking back I can see how it might have seemed that way, but I mentioned the tweak houses as likely being worse neighbors than unpermitted folks, and yet there hasn’t been a thread about that situation...

PaulW - We don't get to pick and choose which laws we follow. They are there for a reason.

By your standards, the American Colonies should never have revolted, and Hawaii should have never become a Republic (which led to it being a territory & state), as these actions were clearly breaking the law. No doubt this will lead you to forfeit the the land you live on, which was gained through this lawlessness, and your utter adherence to the law will lead you somewhere free from legal quandaries (I hear Iceland's historical climate of conflict is rather benign). Or is the law just absolute when it favors you?

Punatic007 - It's called being a responsible adult

So being poor is now a sign of irresponsibility? What sort of classist elitism you espousing now? Perhaps you watched a different video than I, but I saw no pakalolo being cultivated, no waste being dumped on the ground, no complaining neighbors close by, nor any of these potentially undesirable activities you've seen to attach to them and exclusively to other unpermitted living situations. Consider that they may in fact be on the Punatic007 plan for self improvement, and after some years of living modestly, will find ritzier accommodations and can look down their nose at other shack dwellers and say with complete hypocritical irony, "People should not be allowed to live like that! Oh, yes I did at one time, but that was different."
