I asked questions and wrote nothing about a "helpful reply" in this thread. Seems to me that RWR is making stuff up.

Wholesale has to be 10 cents or less because many areas of the country have 10 to 15 cent rates to the consumer.

This is the rate I pay in Ohio.

The first 100 kwh $0.12695 per kWh*
The next 900 kWh $0.10765 per kWh*

Posted in September:

"In our down spouts we have small hydro units that also create stored power for those days weeks when sun does not shine plus the very rare occasions we run the gen set. We do not miss grid power what so evah in our home."

And this gem:

"On top of the 50ft tower is a 1000 gallon - stainless steel water tank - and the 4 inch pipe is for head and gravity feed water."

mahalo leilani,

this is another we're (Helco) gonna use ya...from the article "the utility said part of the increase would be used to fund grid modernization efforts," Homeowner pv systems are limited/discouraged one could say because of grid not being able to handle the excess generation so,,,Helco upgrages grid thur increase and then builds it's own HUGE solar farm..what a sweet deal?

HELCO is not building a large solar farm, nor are they building any new power generation themselves. It has too much risk. By asking others to build new generation facilities, they can simply buy the power produced and resell it to you, the consumer at a markup.

bold by me...so whats the difference?

never mind, the point is they are getting it done, building the units,,,and at the same time saying the grid will not handle any more power from the home owner,,,suuuup?
