Locally you still need a leach field for the grey water from bath and washing machine. Furthermore I am pretty sure that drainage from the kitchen sink is considered black water (same as sewage) because of the amount of organic solids in it.

I really doubt that. A greywater leach field is an entirely different beast, in terms of health risks, and even with organic solids what makes blackwater 'black' is the human waste.

Huh. Nope, looks like you're right. That said, other than the toilet and the kitchen sink, the hawaii dept. of health does seem to allow greywater irrigation:
