UFO sightings on the rise
#41
This thread just kills me. I tried not to read it tonight but was unsuccessful.
Certainty will be the death of us.

Chunkster - the fee is definitely outrageous, but the main problem is fingerprinting since the Mongonians don't have fingers. Facial recognition is difficult as well as their system is based on people having eyes on the end of stalks.

"befriended a Sasquatch... every picture he took was blurry."

I heard an interesting theory that Bigfoot is actually blurry in real life as well, hence the photographs.
Maybe this is a thing for UFOs as well, or they have very advanced photoshop on board.

save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha

Back when I regularly worked at the summit during the night, we regularly got calls from Big Island residents reporting strange lights in the sky. Nearly all of them were due to Venus, the occasional one was due to the moon and one involved a Chinese lantern that set fire to a tree in Hilo. The calls became less over the years but started rising again after the CFHT made their skycam publicly available on the internet. Nearly all the calls after that were people reporting Venus or the moon rising and a number included aircraft either landing or taking off from Hilo airport. I believe some of those reports were also made on Punaweb but haven't got the energy to find them now.

That's why EW's reports were more interesting, coming from career military pilots. Similar to the reports that came out from Harry Reid's cancelled research program last year.

I just watched this video, a reenactment of the 2004 incident with the USS Nimitz flight group while they were training off San Diego. Interesting to say the least.

It still brings the question of, if things are flying around (and in) our oceans...why arnt there more sightings in and around Hawaii.

Just because you haven't experienced any sightings doesn't mean that others haven't too. I know two people, my sister and an ex-gf that are both sound of mind and have no reason to lie to me. Both have had first hand frightening encounters, right here in Puna. Both stand by their experience to this day even though it happened years ago. Nothing to gain for them. Just being open and honest. Not druggie trippers either.

Most people aren't lying, they're just mistaken. Even Jimmy Carter thought Venus was a UFO.

If a UFO appeared anywhere where there are people nowadays then we would hundreds of photos from every angle and high-res video to boot.
But we don't. There's an obvious explanation.
