Red car on blocks
#1
Just drove to Pahoa from Hilo and noticed a fairly new red car up on blocks on the shoulder of Hwy 130. All four tires gone.

Directly across from the Pahoa Police Department.

Interesting image...

That's OK, the tourists can pay for it.

It was reported on social media several months ago that a disabled vehicle on the other side of the road (basically right in front of the PPD) was getting stripped and callers trying to report it were told nothing could be done.

It wont get towed until they are done stripping it. Then they torch it, then it gets towed... it's like a self flushing crapper.

We went to the Pahoa dump today, and took that back road that loops around to the schools, and were on our way to Tin Shack. There was a gutted and burned out car on the road, with a cop there checking it out. This was about 1:30.

My visiting cousin saw the burned out car at the top of Ainaloa a month back. Said it reminded him of Fallujah and took some pictures for the guys back home.

Reminds me of abandoned cars on the Cross Bronx Expressway in New York City

I drive through Ainaloa to Hawaiian Acres on a regular basis. Every two or three weeks there is a different gutted burned car on that isolated top stretch of Ainaloa right before getting to the Acres.

There’s also an abandoned red car on 16th, near Makuu.

Bad time to own a red car?
