Actually, that cup of coffee probably has more toxins in it than the Roundup... Bruce Ames identified something like 11 different compounds in coffee that were carcinogenic or teratogenic... Another opportunity for liability scammers to get rich off peoples' (jurors') ignorance.

I first thought it was a highly frivolous case, but the elderly lady was actually pretty badly burned. She dropped the coffee in her lap. Apparently McDonald's lowered the temperature of all coffee sold after that, which seems to have worked out OK for everyone.

Seems like she got about $600 K. Too high, IMO, but the case had some value; other people apparently were also burned over the years.

Also saw some advertisements for a Roundup alternative, (Burnout) since we are now becoming aware that it, (Roundup), is toxic and we probably should stop using it.

For those of you that believe it isn't toxic you are just fooling yourself. Wake up.

"Although it is toxic, the active chemical, glyphosate, binds with soil. This means that glyphosate that comes in contact with the ground will not run off into water systems and becomes inactive. The substance also appears to be mostly nontoxic for mammals, including people, who eat food which was near plants treated with Roundup.

However, when glyphosate reaches rivers and streams, it is very toxic to aquatic life. Glyphoste can travel to waterways if it falls on asphalt or blows away on the wind. In addition, glyphosate is not the only chemical in Roundup®, simply the only one considered “active” by the EPA. You should have read the rest of the sentence:

"who eat food which was NEAR plants treated with Roundup."

So the statement does not apply to mammals, including people, who eat foods that were treated with Roundup.

Quoting out of context can substantially change the meaning, perhaps more to your liking.

Interestingly, this stuff appears to be three to four times more toxic, under acute exposure, than Roundup. And a lot of "no data available" and "not classified" responses on many categories of information on the data sheet.

I guess what we don't know can't hurt us...

If you were going by the data you wouldn't be switching from glyphosate in the first place. If you are going by some sort of popularity contest then anything goes.
