racism... has a lot a lot more to do with what's in your heart than otherwise.

Yes, that makes sense.
If I understand you correctly glinda, the person who hurls racial epithets first will carefully look into the heart of their victim, and after thoughtful consideration for the precise word or phrase required in the situation, only then do they let ‘er rip. Or if they see a heart that’s pure, they smile and walk away.
Is that about right?

With Civil Defense and the police sending out regular messages that Saddle Road is open, I wonder if they're training us to watch for alerts when they decide to close it? Also, since parking regulations are being cited and enforced (ha ha ha..I crack me up!), will those with only Kingdom plates get additional citations?

And another thing...33 people were arrested he other day, but none since. Since dozens/hundreds of others have done the exact same crime in the exact same place (including some of the exact same people who were arrested...), I suspect even a first year law student could convince the judge/prosecutor to drop all charges citing lack of "equal justice"

I've seen racism before but never lived anywhere where it is tolerated, celebrated and loudly defended.
Yet another case of glindakine channeling orangeman.

It all actually makes sense.

It’s the weekend, no work.

Arrests and enforcement of laws to resume on Monday.

We ask that Governor Ige immediately rescind the proclamation of emergency in order to de-escalate the situation and to allow space for the voices of Hawaii's people to be heard.

Funny, I thought there was a 10-year permitting process which provided opportunity to "hear the people".

The Army's 100th Battalion/442nd Infantry Regiment "has arrived in Hawaii County," according to Jason Redulla, chief of the state Department of Land and Natural Resources' Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement. Protesters have expressed concern about the possibility of Hawaii Army National Guard troops clearing them out. But Redulla emphasized that the 100th Battalion/442nd Infantry Regiment is an Army reserve unit that has "no affiliation" with either the Hawaii National Guard or TMT.

I'm sure the timing of their arrival is merely a coincidence. Notice the "no affiliation" statement leaves out several other relevant agencies, notably DOCARE.

So. Should there be a moratorium on all real estate sales until the Hawaiian sovereignty thing is fully worked out?

I was thinking mass deportations, since the Hawaiians aren't in the country legally.

Kinda disturbing your sensibilities, eh, kalakoa?

I think, hope, the footage of Harry addressing the folks on the Mauna just now will go a long way towards putting paid to Ige’s emergency. It is refreshing to see Harry walk, talk, with so much humility. It is a great moment, one I suspect will be followed by many others making the trek to sit with those taking their stand. Good times.
