"Believe in climate change as though it's a religion." —Sen. Mazie Hirono

It is my religion.

It doesn't even require belief. Just a thermometer:

If you’re counting, Hawaii has broken or tied more than 200 heat records since April
Hawaii has seen 213 official record-breaking or -tying highs since April.

Yikes! I just read that I fit the definition of a climate-change denier: "Someone who has lived long enough to see climate experts predicting another ice age by 2000 to predicting the arctic would be ice-free by today."
Truthfully, though, my opinion is merely that I don't know if "climate change" is temporary or permanent.
randomq, I assume your comment was directed at my title, not the quote from our distinguished senator. I entitled it that because I am wary when the government tells you what your religion should be.

Think whatever you like about it... it wont change anything anyway. Except perhaps your ability to deal with it.

I've no idea where Hirono's quote comes from, so without context, how can anyone comment sensibly?

Senator Hirono was speaking in support of DACA, and in her comments she suggested there are a number of other issues that need not only our support, but our full commitment so they can be successfully addressed and resolved. She said “we could have people here who are committed to human rights and environmental rights, climate change — believe in climate change as though it’s a religion.”

She didn’t say it was a religion, but an issue that should be approached with a level of commitment that people have for religion. If you search Google, the only results you’ll find for her quote are from right wing “news” outlets because it’s not a story, and they’re desperate to print anything this week that distracts their readers from the real news out of the House impeachment inquiry.
