So with two decades of these two guys as mayor....is anything better?
Any long term problems resolved?

Sadly, I can't think of any real improvements either of them accomplished. As much as I don't like Billy Kenoi, at least he temporarily stopped the burgeoning county payroll from growing. It should be noted, however, that he was forced to enact a hiring freeze because of the revenue drop during the Great Recession. Speaking of which, Billy furloughed 25% of the county work force, and the services we got were in many ways better than what Harry Kim has managed with a full and even bigger workforce. Right now the bus system is a shambles and the dumps are struggling to cope. And don't start me on the building permitting and inspection process. Can anyone think of anything that has improved? I can't.

Quality of life has improved for the "right" people: more family now have jobs, everyone got a raise, some even got plenty overtime, healthcare and pension secure, what more could you ask?
