Keep in mind, Harry is sympathetic to the president's beliefs. We'll all be in Church on Easter.

Harry also wants to have social events for seniors during the lockdown. Poor guy needs to step down, he just can't wrap his head around this.

Randomq is right. Harry is very old and not well. They shouldn't have asked him to be Mayor in the first place.

Thread should be titled "Harry Kim lost it". And was reelected anyway.

Clearly, response to the COVID-19 crisis requires flexibility, especially as new information becomes available or is updated. But often it seems, too often, Harry Kim and politicians at every level of government are giving out mixed messages with decisions based on nothing, or almost nothing, when they seemingly make things up as they go along. Like Bullwinkle said (and with better results) "watch me pull a rabbit* out of my hat."

Kim, meanwhile, insists he’s working with Gov. David Ige but asking for “flexibility” not exemptions ("... bookstores, bicycle shops and garden shops and those things").

Hawaii News Now asked him why he isn’t working at home.
“First of all, I would never jeopardize family or workers if I was a threat to them as far as the virus. If you question any of the workers here, I feel very good.”

As for Kim’s political career, he told Hawaii News Now that he still hasn’t made a decision on whether he’ll run for mayor again. This is after he’s been been promising for weeks that he’d make an announcement soon.

* for 'rabbit' you can substitute 'policy', or 'essential medical equipment', or almost anything else from news stories about government actions and inaction
