We're Doomed

I watch Cuomo's update every morning actually. That's why I've quoted and linked to various pieces of his presentations several times now (go check the Smart Plans or Wuhan Virus threads if you doubt this Smile

If NY needs 30,000 ventilators soon and no one else does, why again shouldn't they be there to save lives? (what exactly is in the Feds stockpile(s) is still a mystery even to Cuomo and he's said so)

Cuomo is trying to formulate a national response given that the Feds aren't, which includes moving people and equipment state by state as needed. Again, as Cuomo has said, there is no stockpile large enough to doll out piecemeal to each state to tackle this on their own - states must pool their resources and deploy where the needs demand.

Anyhow, none of that includes Jared's input, which if it isn't abundantly clear, lacks both the education and experience to even be in the room much less speaking about or directing this effort.

Honestly, I don't think Jared has done anything other than being framed as the poster child for a future political candidate. Except for maybe this piece:

when cuomo was pressed about the thousands of ventilators that NY has in storage, he responded with that was severely misinformed, were not going to just put those ventilators anywhere. Doublespeak for yea we have 9 thousand but were not going to use them until needed.

Which is why the feds arent going to just drop 30K ventilators in their lap. but send them out according to need. No reason NY should get them all when there are other hot spots that need them equally.

Again, I have to ask if you actually read the article TC? Jared is doing his own projections of hospital needs, overriding what Cuomo says (which is based on the multiple models they use) with which Dr Fauci agrees.

How again is Jared more qualified than Fauci (NIH), Cuomo (Gov of NY with decades of State and Federal government experience) and the 5 separate expert models used by NY in their response planning?

Also interfering with FEMA operations apparently by creating separate circles of power and influence. Maybe not the best time to be rocking the boat for the lols?

kander - No reason NY should get them all when there are other hot spots that need them equally.

Where are these other hotspots that a greater need that NY right now? If the Fed stockpile only has 10k ventilators that's 200 per state equally. How is this type of withholding and distribution going to significantly help anyone?

To paraphrase Cuomo - if you have 5 drills and I borrow a couple with the promise to either return them or buy you new drills, how are you missing out? You still have 3 drills and if you need more I can return those I borrowed or buy you new ones. (speaking of gathering excess ventilators from around NY state and deploying where the demands require)

Cuomo - "Several hundred [ventilators] could represent several hundred lives so am I willing to deploy the National Guard and inconvenience people for several hundred lives, you're damn right I am."

"Again, I have to ask if you actually read the article TC?"

Again, I ask you, did you actually watch/read his presentation? I don't need to read the misinformation political hit piece article because I got the information from the source.

ETA: And I'm talking about the information in it's totality, not carefully scrubbed / edited propaganda "sound bites".

This is what happens when you dont have ventilators for every single man woman and child. Which is an impossible goal.
NJ is 5 days behind NY.. California seems to be holding its own. but other places are not very far behind new york in time.

Yes and if anyone took the time to listen to Governor Cuomo they'd find he is offering every other state NY's help.

Maybe you should watch Kushner's talk...

Preferably unedited, not the reality TV version cut so he looks “smart” on Administration News Outlets.
The Jared from Subway had more experience going into this than the Jared from nepotism. When it comes to plastic gloves, clean aprons, sneeze guards, and sandwich shop ventilation systems which maintain a healthy environment, I’d take Mr. $5 foot long in charge of the COVID-19 response, rather than the multi million dollar ding-dong.
