Plenty rain in Haiku, Maui. Dam overflowed, and evacuations were in effect:

There looks to be a lot of nasty stuff heading our way in the next few hours (late Monday evening). For simplicity, I'm using the MKWC site to follow the radar:
http://mkwc.ifa.hawaii.edu/radar/lvl2index.cgi
There's an animate link below the lower right radar image on that page. In the meantime, the MK observatories are all shut down. The conditions are hard to assess due to fog and the more useful ones have been iced up. There doesn't seem to be so much lightning compared to Sunday night but there's an awful lot of moisture on the way...

Here in north Hilo district, our cylindrical/straight sided bucket filled to a depth of 15 inches between 5pm Sunday and 7 am today. Miraculously, our long, steep, gravel access road survived relatively unscathed. So far.

A few quick moving downpours last night here in lower HPP....but otherwise not too bad so far considering what Maui received. Sun popping out here this morning at 7:30 am.

So, is all of this rain going to trigger an eruption?

I just got a serve weather alert on my smartphone. Said not to leave my home because of life threatening conditions happening in my area.
