Puna costco appliance delivery
#1
I was surprised to find out that I could order an appliance from costco online and have it delivered in Puna.  I priced a few models compared to Lowes and they were a lot cheaper.  It had a delivery date in mid May which seems reasonable.  Has anybody done this?  Who is the delivery company?

I had a large piece of costco.com furniture delivered by Island Movers, no complaints. They deliver to the "room of your choice" for free. Stuck to their delivery window and called ahead.

I ordered a washing machine for my aunt in the Acres and she received it in a little over a month (Nov-Dec 2020).  My aunt had no complaints about the delivery.  I think the only issue was the machine didn't come with new hoses so she ended up having the delivery-installers reuse the old hoses (from a not even four year-old model with electronic board problems).  There was no issue with delivery to the Acres.  Neither of us remembers the company that delivered.  Sorry.

It was nice that delivery-installing & shipping was priced-in so what you see listed on Costco's website is what you pay plus taxes

I ordered a hot tub last March which arrived exactly 30 days later. I was called the day before by Kona Trans who said they would be here the next morning. Even though Costco said it was curbside delivery, he had a forklift on his truck and took it to the exact spot I wanted. The "free shipping" added 150 bucks to the price, which I thought was cheap considering it was the beginning of the pandemic when only "essential goods" were coming to Hawaii. Of course it was essential to me!

Sounds great. I think I know where next appliance is coming from.
