Aloha All - Is there a reliable resource, website, etc. that explains what is what with all of the "Hawaiian ______________" "subdivisions" down Kahakai Blvd?
HawaiianShores.org says they all share infrastructure but they appear to have different water services. It mentions "members". What qualifies one to be a member? Can everyone down Kahakai Blvd, regardless of "shores, beaches, etc.", use all of the parks and pool such as Kahakai Park? Or are Hawaiian Beaches owners limited to Hawaiian Beaches Park (15-2727 Manini St.)?
Are there HOA fees for property owners in any of them? Is it all one big HOA? Surely some bright Realtor has laid this all out somewhere but I can't find it.
Mahalo Nui for shedding light!

See "Membership Requirements" at
https://hawaiianshores.org/bylaws-and-rules/ - these refer to the "recreational facilities"
Google also found this:
https://www.city-data.com/forum/big-isla...hores.html
"Smaller lots, no CC&Rs in Beaches."
As a technical matter, formal CC&Rs are recorded with the deed, as a matter of public record.

Thank you kalakoa. It seems clear that shores is it's own thing and beaches is not part of it. I appreciate your response!

Hawaiian Shores Recreational Estates, with the "Recreational" referring to their facilities.
HSRE also believes that painting "border" lines on the road is relevant -- but theirs are "privately owned/open to the public" just like the rest.

It's all becoming clear. Anyone have personal opinions or interesting info about shores and beaches?[/b]

I would go for the one that has a pool. Great pool! I forget if it's Beaches or Shores.
Certainty will be the death of us.

Great thinking! I think Shores is the one with the great pool and the oceanfront parks.

Hawaiian Shores, Hawaiian Parks, and Hawaiian Beaches have no CCR's or management. They do have internet, cable, telephone and "at house mail delivery". That's a big plus over here! They are served by Hawaiian Beaches Water Company (excellent water quality) but have no fire hydrants except one by "Da Store". They have 2 Parks open to all taxpayers.
Hawaiian Shores and Recreation have the same utilities above except they own their own Water Company with fire hydrants on every street (cheaper Insurance). Their CCR's are strictly enforced. All home owners are members (Deeded) and have to comply. They have 3 private Parks, one with pool, tennis courts and playground and own and operate a Community Center used for all community events. Maintaining their private roads and mowing the road sides monthly are all part of the HOA fee.
