Kona and Back or have to charge again over there !? Or twice a day ? Need a second car in case of emergency ? Try wait.
On a single charge she can drive from HPP to Kona, back to HPP, then to Hilo if she wants & back again to HPP. Two trips to Kona in one day? Yep, with a quick charge while she shops at the many stores with charging stations.
A second car for emergency? What for? It fully charges overnight in the garage. If she did buy a second car it would probably be another electric vehicle.
That’s with battery tech that’s several years old. The new cars are getting 350-400 miles on a charge. One new model gets 550 miles.

Too bad we can't schedule our emergencies around the car bat. Ex. after the Hpp to Kona to Hpp to Hilo to Hpp jaunt, Then something happen .. Gotta get to urgent or Eroom.

What if e charge out or service ? Theres always another gas station, can even walk with can if need be.
And then there is the crazy MALE thing about skipping that one ez / no stress rest stop when needle already on " E" to get to next one 30-50 miles down the road. Im not sure this can be done on electric. A good thing i guess.
Long road trip even longer in e car when trying go long. No argument here .. A few minutes fill up vs.___ when u already tired. Sit and wait. Stare at gage instead of getting back on the road.

That may be fine if you are at Target, but what happens when another 1000 electric cars are running around the island, with the highest price of electricity in the country? How many charging stations are there?
