I have discovered dry wood termites in one window sill, can find no other sign of them, but still want the house inspected. Can anyone recommend a good pest company and give me an idea of cost?

By the time you pay a house inspector to tell you there are termites, it might be cheaper just to have the house tented by a termite company. We were quoted about $600 to have our house tented, I don't know how much house inspectors charge. We have a small house, though and I think the prices change according to size.

Terminex in Hilo is good, quick and reasonably priced for termite inspections. They will tell you honestly if you need a full tenting or if spot treatment will work.
