Orchidland
#1
Hi,

My experience with Orchidland was brief but very pleasant. The lots are thin and deep. When done right, they can be gorgeous. (See Orchidlandvacationrentals.com). The roads are rough and bumpy, but there are actually wild orchids there and the only a small number of the available lots are actually developed (or so it seems to me). Your level of privacy may depend on how your neighbor landscapes. Most are pretty smart and do not level the land, and leave the tall (ohia?) trees at least at the perimeter. I stayed at the orchidland vacation rental (link above). The owner and the property were awesome. I guess what I am trying to say is the area has possibilities. The place I stayed in was, I guess, narrow, but it was jungley, completely private, and very exotic.

I do not like the frogs in Orchidland, but they were well under control where I stayed. If possible, I recommend you stay there to get an idea of what it might be like.
