While I am all about fair pay for fair work, that statement sounds dare I say, Socialist. They may need to re-evaluate their pick for a spokesperson.

What's the problem? we're a socialist' society, aren't we?
Seriously, what about sharing the wealth is wrong? I mean sure, if the mucky mucks want to give themselves a disproportionate share of the income, that's their prerogative, as long as they can get away with it. But then, it is also, equally, the prerogative of the labor force to get their 'fair' share, isn't it?

I just felt a great disturbance in the Marketplace, as if millions of cans of Spam suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly purchased.
I fear something terrible has happened.
Like a spam moose shortage!

The price of Spam has doubled, I wonder if their costs doubled too? Or maybe they're just taking advantage like all the other food companies. Can't blame the workers for wanting to afford the food they make.
If prices keep going up, local agriculture may become competitive again!

I always wonder when I see statements like that, demanding a share of the profits, why the workers (or the union) are not buying shares of stock or asking the company to grant them restricted stock units as part of the profit sharing.

It appears that the CEO of Hormel feels the same pain as the workers!

Dude, like they should totally demand a share of the SPAM.
