Attempted Murder in HPP
#1
There was a crime scene at 7th and Makuu.  Junkyard house.  Seems like the more junk in the yard, the more chance of violence eventually taking place.

Had to detour coming home down Makku Dr. from shopping. They blocked off Makku from 6th to 8th AV. They still have crime scene tape around the entire property at the corner of 7th av And Makuu.

"They blocked off Makku from 6th to 8th AV. "

I'm not sure which thread to post this in.  There is an open house today at a brand new construction house right across the street from the crime scene today on the other corner of 7th and Makuu.  I'm hoping some Punnawebber can go and report back if it's being touted as a safe neighborhood.  Junkyard house crime scene across the street.  You can see it in the drone shot of the house in the listing below.

A good realtor would use that as an upside to buying the house!

“Neighborhood just got much safer now that they have arrested the shooter from across the street!”

By the way, did you note the name of the shooter?

Talk about Russian conspiracies!!

Very Crime and Punishment.  Although if Dostoevsky were alive today and living in Puna he’d probably write Crime and Real Estate.  The crime scene tape and open house would be an intriguing opening paragraph.

Crime and Real Estate.

ROFL!  Speaking of which, just two blocks away is that record highest price per square foot house on 4th just off of Makuu.  For the conspiracist home shopper, it does have the protective blue roof and blue exterior though which, while it may not stop a stray bullet, in the event of Direct Energy Weapon attack may just make it worth the extra $175,000 over it's competition.

@HOTPE & Punatang:

Excellent observations!

I am a bit surprised that the gaggle of whatever vile humans that live across the street from the new house have not just moved in and squatted.

But then again, judging by the link Punatang provided of the property, it appears to have electricity and running water. The fancy flush toilets must have scared them off!

Police and tape are still there 24 hours after shooting. Three cop cars....each sitting in their respective vehicles.  Guess the search warrant is taking a lot longer than expected.

I've never seen a video like this ever being released before!

"Raw footage" of the incident. Starts with short interview, but then............

They might have pumped up the - - action - - with Bad Boys, Bad Boys playing.
Some enterprising youngsters would have made a fortune if they set up a lemonade stand.  They had half the Puna Police Department, and who knows how many HPP residents waiting to get through the roadblock as captive customers.

Slowest ambulance response ever to a guy shot twice and lying off the side of the road.  Couldn’t someone at least hit the siren once or twice?
