Fountaining & active lava flows on the floor of Nāpau Crater.

Lava falls! Been waiting/hoping for this. My fav picture when I was a kid was a spectacular lava falls during the Mauna Ulu eruption, into what was then Alae crater. Link to that photo here: https://www.usgs.gov/media/images/lava-f...ption-1969

Hoping USGS got out there last night and took some photos/videos from the chopper. I keep hitting refresh to see if anything is posted. Not yet. Fingers crossed.

I snipped out the best time from the webcam 24 hour replay, it was about 6:13PM last night where the ambient light was just about right to see the lava best. Resolution sucks, best I could do with the material available.

Yeah, I've been keeping the page up and refreshing often. 

It's best when it's dark. I try to catch it right after or right before it switches from/to night vision during sunrise and sunset.
