Plant It Hawaii has excellent fruit trees and tropicals. You can see their web page at
www.plantithawaii.com
Down side is that they only sell wholesale and have a $500 minimum order. I am about to place such an order so if anyone wants to "TAG ON: any items, please contact me directly. I will place the order no sooner than Wednesday the 14th.

My only concern is the coquis in their plants. I went to the plant sale a couple of years back, and I asked them what do we do if we get coquis in the plants, they said "oh they just jump out when you plant them". Thats a good idea though, to order them with others order.

Twice a year they have sales when anyone can go over and buy a single tree. The last one was in November, I think it was so the Spring Sale should be happening sometime soon. A lot of other folks sell their trees at the plant sales at the same price as what Plant It Hawaii does. At least the fellow I bought a grapefruit tree from at the Cherry Blossom Festival did. There is another big plant sale up in Waimea on February 28th, I think it was. Some of the plant folks would know exactly when and where.

Pam,
Have you check out
www.fruitlovers.com and compare the price? They are in Puna and seemed to have the same thing.

I would love to check them out. However, whenever I have opened that web site, I get a star background and nothing else happens. How do I get IN???:

Pam,
When I just tried it, there was a line of text about 2/3 of the way down the screen that says "click here" among other things. Maybe you are having a browser compatibility issue. I am using FireFox 2.0. That is Oscar Jaitt's nursery. Maybe he is in the phone book, although I do not know. I think his e-mail is fruitlover@fruitlovers.com
I have had good luck with the seeds I have gotten from him.
