You're joking I hope !
Obviously, your response shows you didn't even read the link I provided.
But I got to hand it to you. You sure speak with such confidence on matters you know nothing about or even care to learn about.
I wish I was joking.

As do you but you fake it fairly well with blatant quotes straight from your AI searches, ad nauseam.

Nothing fake about me. I either know it or learn it BEFORE I speak about it.
In the rare times I have used ChatGPT or any form of AI, I have stated that is from such sources.
But that is too unreal of a concept for you to grasp.
So, to you, I am everything that in reality I am not, including having (or had) multiple personalities here on PunaWeb which you can't honestly say about yourself.
At any event, do you have anything to add about the federal funding cuts and its impacts on Puna, Hilo and Hawaii, or are you just here to be your usual bull in the china shop troll? And I hope your measles vaccine is up to date for your next visit!

Recent developments on this have me wondering if these 5 have already cleared their desks, or not?
WASHINGTON, DC – Today (2/27), U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono (D-HI), a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, urged the Secretary of Interior, Douglas Burgum, to reinstate the Department of the Interior’s (DOI) Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) probationary employees in Hawaii who were hastily fired by the Trump Administration. https://www.hirono.senate.gov/news/press...nistration
Plus this:
""A federal judge on Thursday ordered the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to rescind memos that directed agencies across the federal government to fire probationary employees, finding they were likely unlawful.
U.S. District Judge William Alsup said OPM must notify agencies it did not have the authority to call for the firing of those employees but stopped short of directing agencies themselves not to continue with terminations.
The order only applies to agencies with ties to the plaintiffs in the case, but the judge urged the government to go a step further and notify other agencies as well.
“(The) Office of Personnel Management does not have any authority whatsoever, under any statute in the history of the universe, to hire and fire employees within another agency,” Alsup said..."

This must be what "semi-fired" means.

1.25% doesn't seem to be a drastic downsizing?

Julieweb is just one giant Bicker Board now. Hate, anger, and long winded histrionic posts ad nauseam. It helps a little if you put her on ignore but she posts after nearly every other post so it still seeps through no matter what you do. Two vacations led to temporary reform and improvement but she is who she is and she is Punaweb. I wish you all the best.

I agree. Karen needs another vacation. A lonnnggggg one. The trouble with ignoring her is that others quote her diatribes and her meaningless off-topic videos so we still have to scroll through them.
Certainty will be the death of us.

Hate? Anger?
Where? Sounds like a bit of projection there.
Long winded posts? Ad nauseum?
What is PunaWeb for?
A free flowing debate of topics or a place where some posters are allowed to post nonsensical and/or totally untrue statements as pure fact and the ones who rebut them or ask for more discussion are the problem? Are full of hate? Anger?
A good example, look at this post below:

First of all, under any grade school math education do you take 5 workers laid off and divide that by the 400 laid off workers and say that’s the percent of downsizing.
The correct math for the percent of downsizing is to take the total number of laid off workers and divide that by the TOTAL amount of workers employed.
Further, the five staff members at the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge that were laid off represent 50% of the workforce at the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge and the 400 number is the total number of workers laid off nationwide by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
So then, just what is PunaWeb in existence for?
I sure would like to discuss these topics.
