I'm sorry if this post does not belong here, but trying to get as much feedback as possible in a short time.
I know it's a late request for information, but does anyone know if there is something going on in front of the state building today at noon ?
I've read there are gatherings in Kailua-Kona and in Waimea, but have seen nothing about Hilo.

Did we lose a thread? I wanted to add to a conversation about the Hilo protests and it seems to have disappeared.
Is this the result of the antics of the prolific poster who now effectively dominates Punaweb? Rob and M2, may I very humbly plead that Punaweb can go back to being Punaweb, if you simply enforce a daily posting limit. Three seems like a perfect number. Code can do the job of moderation. It's the same type of throttle as you already have to prevent someone from posting or searching too many posts too quickly. Just do that. Simple. Please.
If you put a reasonable posting limit in place, then folks with abundant free time, who come here to satiate their need for attention, will not be able to dominate the forum and the rest of us can have Punaweb back. Everyone will be healthier for it. Please and Mahalo for your consideration.

Good morning Punatang,
The now deleted thread was seriously derailed late last night. Either the OP or Rob made the decision to delete it.

Yes, I deleted the thread. However, this IS the thread about the Hilo protests, so if you wanted to add something about the Hilo protests, this WOULD be the thread to do it in.
The thread I deleted was about 300 residents’ attending a town hall meeting, so wanting to add a post about the Hilo protests would be on this thread and not the thread that I deleted anyways, so your point is?
I deleted the thread about the 300 people attending the town hall meeting because it was filled with too many posted links to websites that were "wallowing in national politics” as well as significant posts in total violation of PunaWeb’s stated rules.
And you got to love it when one has to complain about not being able to make a post about Hilo protests on a thread about Hilo protests because they wanted to post their comment about the Hilo protests on a thread that was about 300 people attending a town hall meeting. Is there a code that could moderate that?
ETA: I sure long for the day when a certain PunaWeb poster would make 8, 9, 10 plus posts a day about houses for sale in HPP, but here we are.

It's a shame when heated disagreements in a thread that have basically nothing to do with the thread topic aren't just continued in the bicker thread, or a mutual agreement to stop 'endless' posts about a disagreement.
Deleting the entire thread is , of course, another option, which conveniently removes all evidence.

Not all the evidence.. it leaves a clear example of the OP's mental and emotional wellbeing.

I agree 100% Ms. Wao.
And to be clear, I DID NOT derail the now deleted thread.
I did not change the now deleted threads subject matter.
I did not violate any of the PunaWeb rules.
And while saying that, having to defend oneself against untrue statements, opinions presented as facts, and demanding the posting of one’s personal information to back up what and who they are does take a toll and can cause heated disagreement, which, I will admit, I must learn to refrain from to responding to.
I deleted the thread due to all of the above. But more importantly, I deleted the thread as I have learned very well here on PunaWeb, most of the time the “guilty” go free and unscathed, where the "innocent" are made to be guilty by automatic default.
Imagine if a poster demanded that you post your personal identifying information to back up who and what it is you say you are. I have had enough back and forth banter with you in the past that I can pretty much guess what YOUR reply would be to that poster making such demands. And I know, as you do, it would not be a pretty “sunshine and lollipops” retort!
And guess what. Here we are doing the same thing! And now, look who else has joined in the posting of things having nothing to do with this threads subject.
Now, I’d love to hear what Punatang wanted to post about the Hilo protests here on the Hilo protest thread. Yet I highly doubt there was ever anything Punatang really wanted to say about the Hilo protests. It was just another way to derail yet another thread.
Or are we at the point now where THIS thread is allowed to be derailed and let MyManao give us all a lesson on "mental and emotional wellbeing.(?)"
At any event, carry on!

Thanks for clearing that up Wahine. I guess that until management acts, we can police ourselves by not posting in threads started by known "delete-rs" so that your thoughtful input is not erased randomly for someone's personal whim.
The second way to police ourselves is to just ignore and refuse to respond to those who, let's be honest, basically troll Punaweb. We should not have to be constantly abused as a community. Enough is enough.

"just ignore and refuse to respond to those who, let's be honest, basically troll Punaweb." until such time as the moderators enforce their own rules and boot Karen. For the third time.

To be clear, HJ, I never said you changed the thread subject matter.
You appear to be admitting to engaging in a heated disagreement with another poster in that now deleted thread. Perhaps both of you either crossed the line or came uncomfortably close to that. Oh wait...I read most of your back and forth from last night. Time to drop this now and continue on with the thread topic?
