Nanawale House progress.
#21
Hi - It's me again. Just want you to know we got our roof trusses up. It went pretty easy with three people working most of the time. Using a Gin Pole on our tractor's front loader made quick work of getting the trusses placed where we wanted them.

I have also put in our costs on many items. Many people want to know if it was worth it getting a container and shipping everything. Remember, we were going to have to ship all our personal stuff, tools, and household items any way - so we would have had a pretty big bill no matter how we did it.

Constructing an owner-built home in Nanawale. Learning lots of new skills and patience during the process. My wife will join me when we reach the "dry stage" of construction.

Aloha Kapt. Permision to come aboard Sir! I've been lurking at your progress for a while and realized I never introduced myself. I'm Nate we have a spot up in Orchidland...you and I are like "country" neighbors. I'm happy for you and all your progress. Just wanted to drop you a line and say "hey".

Hey, Kaptkimo!

Would it be ok if a couple tourists came by to visit? Maybe ask a question or two about your lumber & tractor & who knows what else? We'll be in Puna next week. April 10 to 17th.
