More window information, couldn't find doors, search engine isn't working up to par for some reason. Hope it isn't due to the anna person on the classifieds from Al Bania, but who knows.

or if you prefer louver windows...

Where to buy? Anyone know where to get them besides Ace? I know HD sells the vinyl type but not looking for those. Looking for the old style aluminum type.

Thanks! Oh and planning on installing myself.

I don't know much about vinyl type louvers, but growing up in Hawaii I've had my fare share of aluminum ones.

Two legged cockroaches look at louvered houses as an open invitation, not to mention the maintenance that is required with aluminum louvers. Weather just eats them up, and I promise within first year you'll wanna replace them!

Just noticed a window line in the "HawaiiHome + Remodeling" magazine (from HPM) that they have an ad on pg 22 for Victor Sun Control Awning windows to replace old jalousies. It is a stacked awning much like Jalousies, but with less air escape (if things like AC or wildfires are an issue at your house), easy to clean, greater security. If you are looking, might want to check them out
