Well we got our plumbing and electrical inspection and it passed. Now we are awaiting our framing inspection. I'm really hoping it will pass considering we're not experienced at all. But thanks to everyones advice here on Puna Web we are at this stage. I'll let you know how it went. It is scheduled for Friday.

We got our inspection today. It went well. We were just missing our ridge blocking and gable bracing on the two end sides of our home and we needed to add more nails to our straps and hurricane clips. I guess after nailing hundreds of nails you're like what's skipping a nail or two. But in the end we still had to put it in. We got through making the corrections today.

Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up. They are now advertising as D&S Construction- Concrete/Framing. Carpentry, Painting 25 years experience. To $1,000.
I found out that before I gave them the job they just ripped a couple off $48,000.00 to do an addition and some other work. The job did not get done and they took off with the money. Go figures why they had to change their name again....... and they are adding in painting this time.

Yes, we're doing great. We got our finals on August 10th- and it was approved. We were able to complete the house- it's a miracle.
