We are a bit starved for contractors here in East Hawaii on Castleblock projects. Primarily owner/builders here and that has left the generals out of the loop. I do have some contactors coming on line at this time though.
You are correct in that systems which are very doable by owner-builders should be very accessible to contractors.
We do provide on site assistance to clients, we need to make sure they get going in the right direction and complete successfully
Frankly, there are a lot of carpenter types who simply aren't interested in new methods. I don't much try to convince them - I have enough business with those that are interested. And for those who are interested we strive to give 110% attention.

Rob, how much are homes made with Castleblocks state of the art materials costing these days?
I know its a bit of an unfair question, but in general, what might the turnkey cost of a two-story, 2000 square foot home cost to design and have built by a contractor or project manager?

A number of my clients are building for around $130 psf. Easy to spend more, possible to spend less.

The Castleblock Hokulea model meets several things I'm looking for, but how easy is it to move walls around? This particular model has four bedrooms, all about the same size. I'd want to have one larger master bedroom, one relatively large guest, and one other room that doubles as an office or small bedroom. So, with Castleblock, how easy is it to move the walls around?

The plans are quite flexible. We understand that it is difficult to ask four designs to meet everyone's needs.
If you want it different it can be different.

Rob, on your website you have a product called Rumber, a wood substitute that stands up to hand granades, even. Could this (or another similar material) be used as a siding?
Put differently, if we wanted a home with the look of wood but made of new age materials like the ones you use, is that yet possible?

A word about contractors... it's not just carpenters who often don't want to learn something new. We had difficulty finding an electrical contractor who would work with both the Protec walls and our PV system. It all worked out in the end, but it was frustrating to find such a lack of interest in new tricks!
